Starting a Car Maintenace Business

Hi scotty! I appreciate all your videos very knowledgeable! I was wondering if you could advis me on good tips or dos and donts of starting a side business for fixing vehicles. I consider myself a decent mechanic which is my full time job working on industrial engines. I just meed some dos amd donts. Advise really. Thanks!

Well do what your best at don't try to do everything. Realize that modern car is a level of complexity and tools needed would cost a fortune so you specialize in the things that you feel you are good at and the vehicles that you understand best. Treat your customers honestly undercut what they charge at the dealerships and basically just do a good job fixing people's cars the rest just follows there's so many crappy mechanics out there that if you're a good mechanic believe me the world will be the path to your door. I've been fixing cars for 53 years and I never advertised by paying money at all it was all just word of mouth of my own customers
