Starting and driving a car that has been sitting for 6 years

Hi!

I just bought a 1992 Toyota Camry 2.2 manual sedan, it has 148000km (91k miles) on the odometer, and has been sitting for 6 years. It worked fine before it was parked, and today I am going to start it and drive it for the first time in 6 years. Is there anything that i should do before starting and driving it, so I don't damage the engine or anything else?

Sorry if the english is bad, I am from Norway.

Ideally, I’d recommend you change all fluids before you plan to take it anywhere far.

is the gas in the tank 6 years old?

if you try to run it on that, it will foul your engine.

be careful of the tires too. could be rotted.

yes it has. If its just a little bit gas left do i still have to empty it, or can i mix it with new gas?

your best bet is to remove all of it
