I have a 2003 Honda Pilot. Recently steering column "moans" when I turn the wheel. Honda dealership says car is old and nothing can be done, and told car has plenty of steering fluid. Is it true nothing can be done? Thank you

Parts can be replaced...if it's the power steering pump (most likely) then $200ish plus 1.5 hour labor should do it. However, it could be the steering rack and it'll be a bittttt more expensive to replace. How bad is it and how long did you plan to keep it?

Thank you HillBilly. The sound is always there, more loud when car is moving slowly, say when moving the car in or out of a parking position. Vehicle has 324K and plan on keeping it for several more years if I can.
