On my 2006 Mitsubishi gallant ES four-cylinder motor. When driving or backing up or even park the steering wheel is tight at the beginning but after it jerks it’s free the rest of the way till you go back and turn it the other way don’t know what it is? Try to find them videos on YouTube and there’s no videos. Tried flushing the power steering and still didn’t work
Maybe something physical (even rat turds, you never know) or a busted bushing is jamming up the steering column.
It may be easier to tell where things are binding up if you jack up the front of the car onto stands and work the steering wheel back and forth with the engine off. (Assuming it has an actual ignition key just turn it enough to release the steering lock.)
