I would like to ask you in regards to a 2012 Volkswagen Passat TDI Sel Premium. I have tried everything and went to multiple mechanics about this issue I have on this vehicle. This vehicle has 77,000 miles on it, runs great. The only issue I am having is that I get a shimmer/ shake in the steering wheel. It starts at 70, and gets excessive the higher I go into the 80s. Now I have gotten new tires for it, had it balanced multiple times, new rotors and pads, told it can’t be the CV joints. Ive also gotten the rims looked at and made sure that they were not bent. So I'm not sure what to do. Knowing that you were a mechanic for so long, I thought I would try my luck to see as if you have seen this problem before on these cars. I did some independent research on TDI forums and I had found out that people have had the same issue, some think its a transmission flange, or a “dog bone” mount. If you could maybe shed some light on this I would be super grateful!
Really I hate Volkswagen it's horrible cars but I would go to an expert front end alignment guy if I were you and have them check everything normally shaking like that has to do with the tire suspension or axles
