Hi! Been following you since real long, helps alot!
So, i got my self a Hyundai Elantra - 2012 Model, 1.8L Gasoline . The car was purchased from a dealer, in May-2022 at 83000 miles on it. By now( August 2022 ) , it sits at 94,000 miles ( all highway driven ) and oil changes at 5000 miles.
Before buying the car i did check fluids, tread left on wheels, Breaks, Lights, pedal’s wear.
Recently a problem started with Steering wheel.
Then i turn it lef or right, it first makes a noise as if a metal id clanking to another metal .
suppose i tuen wheel left side, This Clank/Ding noise comes once , and then the wheels actually turn. That is there is some play in steering. And now onwards when i hit potholes, the sound of suspension travels inside the cabin and even small pothole feels like it was a impactful one.
what shall i do ?

If you don't have any warranty, you are now in deep kimchi. Take it to a professional alignment shop to find out what's wrong before you lose your steering and hurt yourself or somebody else. And never buy anything from a car dealer again.
Loving it! @ITWT. Did you guys get the kimchi reference?
This is the best I could do without breaking forum rules..
Many Garcias. @itwt
Sounds like the rack or steering column.
You’ll need to find a suspension pro to diagnose this one.

Well you mentioned it has play. It should have no play at all of course. So find out where the play is. It could be a Warren Ball joint, a worn tie rod, a warn control arm bushing. Lots of things. Watch my video. How to check out your own car suspension system. Scotty
