Hi, my steering wheel is vibrating at highway speed. It was pulling to the right too, before the alignment that was did today.
After the alignment, it's not pulling anymore, but it's still vibrating, even though it's vibrating less.
I did the 3-9 and 6-12 o clock test on both wheels and there is no play.
What could it be?
Thanks.
Clarification: Does the steering wheel only vibrate at highway speeds? Does it get worse the faster you go? Also, does it go away as you decelerate?
Yes, only at highway speeds. I didn't passe 70 mph to see if it gets worse. Yes, it goes away when I decelerate.
Well I'd start by going to a different shop they're supposed to road test them and check for a vibration if the alignment wasn't done correct it vibrated the tire is out of round it can vibrate at the tires out of balance it can vibrate and if a rim is bent it can vibrate as can any worn part like a ball joint or tie rod that the shop should have checked
