Stiff suspension

  1. Hi Scotty. I have a Peugeot 508 2014. I owned the car for 6 years with a mileage of 50,000miles. It's powered by 1.6thp automatic trans, also found on mini cooper older models. The car is home serviced very 5,000mile. My problem is with the stiff suspension. It rides like a steel frame on wheels, but I do like the handling on Sharp corners on these suspensions. For your information, I tried shaking the car but it appears like nothing is wrong. No leaking fluid underneath or on the side of the shocks.

What make & model of tyres are you running on? Is the car running on 19” rims from the factory?

Is it a HydroActive? And was it always this way?

Stock steel rims on 215/60 R16 michelins. Is coil-overs, and no it recently stated.

Have you checked that the dampers are seized up?

That's pretty much the nature of the bee sign those things they made for handling not ride but you could go for tires that were higher profile and you could get softer shocks but it's still going to ride pretty much like a bucket it's too small wheelbase is just too short
