STOLEN CATALYTIC CONVERTER

Dear Scotty,

Good day from Nigeria. Been a fan from 2019.

My Honda City 2010 had its CAT stolen at the Mechanic's and since then it seems to have been consuming more fuel than normal. What impact has the unavailability of the CAT on the fuel consumption.

Also, do you think a Honda city is a good car?

100 cities are pretty good cars now here's the thing if you're running it with no exhaust and it's making all kinds of noise that will make the gas mileage get worse. So if you can just replace the stolen cat with an exhaust pipe that you can bolt or weld back on the seal the system it should go back to normal gas mileage the catalytic converter itself does not affect gas mileage only it's complete removal and loss of exhaust back pressure  would do that
