Scotty,
just heard you mention stop start engines, do all new cars have these or is it just certain car makers?
Some models. Consult your dealer.
Certain vehicles have it, definitely not all of them (thank goodness). Look at the owner’s manual, vehicle brochure, OEM website, research online, etc to know for sure for a particular vehicle or vehicles you may be interested in.
Certain models. My Ridgeline has it. I just push the button to disable it as part of the start up process. Barely even notice I do it now.
The government is hunkering down on fuel efficiency requirements. Car makers are responding by squeezing every little efficiency out of the ICE, which includes start stop technology. It seems more cars are coming with it standard.
If it comes with it, learn to turn it off and you should be fine.
