Hi Scotty! My name’s Gerry. I’m from Montreal. I love your videos. I drive a hand-me-down 2007, Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with 230 000 km on it that runs like a charm. I think my parents were lucky when they bought it. It eats up too much gas. I drive in the city for school, about 40 km a day. The price of new Honda civics are too high because of inflation and I’m worried that the prices of used cars will go up too. Should I stick with the Jeep or start looking into getting a car with better gas mileage?

add up how much you spend on gas in a year. then calculate how much you'll save by switching to a more fuel efficient vehicle. That should help in your decision.

I would probably try to sell the Jeep and see how much you can get for it, then look around for an older Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic. I am in Canada as well and I would suggest looking on Kijiji for used Corollas and Civics and see if you can get a good model for a good price, since they generally offer some enticing deals.
