Hello Scotty,

I own a forester 2009 (DBA-SH5, SH5-022561) with a mileage of 43105. It has a persistent cold start for 2 months now. I have changed the fuel pump, i bought a new battery, starter and alternator were checked and work well, i have also replaced the cold start switch, but the problem has perisisted. The car has no error codes when checked with a computer diagnosis.

What else can I do to solve this problem.

Regards.

Mathias.

Well if it starts hard when cold but not hot you have to figure out why it's not starting cold. So do my video test fixing a car that cranks but doesn't start up Scotty. It's on YouTube and you'll be able to figure out what isn't working. It could be a fuel pump relay. It could be the fuel pump not pumping fuel. It could be injectors not firing or ignition not firing. You got to figure out what's not working in order to fix it. Good luck!
