Hi Scotty, I've got a 2011 Subaru Forester with 100k on it. The idle seems to be quite rough. It idles at about 750rpm, but I can feel the engine is definitely not idling as smooth as it used to. This car does A LOT of short trips and maybe gets on the highway once every few weeks.
What are some things I can do to clean things out?
thx,
Cliff

Clean the MAF sensor, IAC valve, and throttle body and then drive your car on a highway for around 30-45 min.
What is the purpose of driving a car on a highway after cleaning the MAF sensor and throttle body? Do I have to do it immediately after the cleaning?
To remove the possible formed moistures inside your engine oil. No, you can do it whenever you get a chance.
