First off my car is a 2018 Subaru legacy 6 cylinder. It only has 26,500 miles on it.
It eats antifreeze and is burning oil. I took it to a private mechanic and he found the leaks, when i took it to the dealer he said that the leak is so small that is they used the warranty it would be laughable. i don't have the write up sheet with me right now. But 2 dealerships pressure tested it several times and found nothing.
That's when i took it to a private mechanic and he put dye in it to find it. Now i can smell antifreeze when i drive to work after i get out of the car.
My hood latch has problems which i got fixed again. Both front door windows needed repair because they stopped working.
The car radio got replaced this year. it didn't take long. I used my extended warranty.
when i took it to the dealer he said that the leak is so small that is they used the warranty it would be laughable
If you're seeing fluids disappear the leak is not so small. Did the dealer say where this "so small" leak is coming from? Is your extended warranty by Subaru or a 3rd party?
i will go home and find the paperwork and i now own the Subaru warranty and have a 3rd party one too because the Subaru warranty doesn't do battery jumps which i needed 3 times. My car battery died last year on Christmas eve and i kept asking them How is the battery? They kept saying fine.
2018 Subaru legacy 6 cylinder (...) It eats antifreeze and is burning oil
Well your warranty is soon to expire so it's time to get all of that remedied.
the dealer he said that the leak is so small that is they used the warranty it would be laughable
What does that clown even mean?
When I begin hearing that crap I just explain that it is not acceptable to run from responsibilities.
"It's a leak, there's a warranty on it - fix it. The only thing laughable here is this attitude."
But 2 dealerships pressure tested it several times and found nothing.
The head gasket might be blown, Scotty has a video on how to test for it.
Now i can smell antifreeze when i drive to work after i get out of the car
A sweet smell? - demand them test the head gaskets and replace if needed.
My hood latch has problems which i got fixed again (...) Both front door windows needed repair because they stopped working. (...) The car radio got replaced this year
Honestly, after it's fixed get rid of it - usually Subaru's are decent, this is a real lemon.
Have your previous cars also been like this??
the Subaru warranty and have a 3rd party one (...) do battery jumps
A small rechargeable battery jumper is under $100.
It eats antifreeze and is burning oil.
how much?
he found the leaks
where?
