I'm just requesting some advice, I am planning on purchasing a Subaru Impreza 2011 from Japan bearing model number DBA-GH2 with a EL15 engine, I am trying to find out if the timing belt and the necessary accessories from another American model would work.
A bigger problem you are going to face is that if you are planning to bring the car into the U.S., to be legal you would need to import a model that is at least 25 years old.
As far as timing belts and other parts you would probably need to compare factory part numbers.
Thank you I'm not importing to the US but I'm not finding the timing belt for the GH-2 model
Maybe. I’m in agreement with @chucktobias that you might be able to track down the part number. I wouldn’t be surprised if you could find a North American part that would work. (But for a question that specific, you might look on the Subaru forums and find someone with first hand experience with that engine)
