Hello Scotty,
I have a 2000 Legacy Outback with the 2.5L engine (SOHC) that had a crack in the block. I had gotten a rebuilt 2.5L engine (DOHC) from a 2000 Legacy sedan. Unfortunately I don't have the computer from the 2000 legacy. I am wondering if I could swap out the SOHC heads and intake over to the DOHC engine I just got?

Short answer: no.
You would run into many issues trying to do that, particularly not having the computer from the other car. But there would be so many changes necessary....I would not recommend going that route.
