Hi Scotty working on pops truck 92 chevy c1500 350 150000 miles automatic. change the fuel filter, fuel pump, distributor, spark plug wires, regap the spark plugs to 35, rebuild the tbi and checked the injectors if they click with the 9v battery they work. The truck still doesnt turn on, do you think i need a new ecm?
Ah, 92 : ) Turn on? Do you mean engine turns over with starter but doesn't start? If so, check fuel pressure, spark and compression. Also fuses and ground straps. I'll look into details on that ecm (it ain't that complicated being 92) and see if we can get you a test for it as I hate to just replace stuff without testing to be sure ; )
Ah, I'm an idiot...it's a 92! Have someone turn it over while you squirt, short bursts, of carb cleaner in the tbi.
