I have a 1979 camero z28 5.7 350 with a th350 automatic transmission, I have trouble with the car not shifting out of 1st gear the car reverses and shifts to drive just fine no knocks or slipping, when I drive the car it will not shift out of 1st gear I just changed the transmission filter and gasket and just put in the correct about if fluid, so I just serviced it, Im having trouble finding the source of the problem

The transmission is likely worn out after 45 years.
