The Case of the Missing Tundra Tranny Cooler

Scotty, I am 98% decided on buying a new 2021 Toyota Tundra, but in 2019 they removed the external tranny cooler, saying the oil and the transmission are designed to take the heat.  But the temps can go up to 250 deg F or more under heavy trailer load according to TFL video.  Regularly the temps are in the 210-225 range.  Should I install a cooler, radiator/hoses, thermostat, etc?  Or should I trust Toyota?  I don’t want to have to replace the tranny at 100K.
Thanks,

Smitty 1517

If ya want more longevity, add the cooler.  No matter how good the 2021 system may be, keeping it cooler will make it last longer.
