How to change the heater core on my ‘93 Chrysler Concorde?

The heater core on my ‘93 Chrysler Concorde V6 3.3 103000 miles is leaking & needs replacement. There’s a very strong smell of antifreeze inside the car and the windshield fogs up with a film.  What’s a good resource to take me through step by step to try to replace it myself? I heard it’s a big job but I lost my job when I got cancer so money is tight for me.  I have dealership Chrysler manuals for the car which the local Chrysler dealer gave me since they were going to throw out. One is Body the other-drivetrain. Neither explains step by step how to remove the core.  I’m mechanically inclined to a point (replaced starter, hoses, radiators). Knowing the make/model is the job too involved in your opinion?  There’s little on you tube regarding Core removal for  this year and make.  Thank you for any advice you can offer.  I really appreciate the information you give to folks about vehicles. Your advice is so valuable for the regular people like me so that we could keep our older cars running.  I’m grateful for your down to earth, real life approach. John from the PA coal region.

unfortunately bought a Chrysler they have one of the worst dashes in the world that you have to take completely apart to replace it.but I use all data DIY it's like 20 something dollars a year to get all the information on one vehicle

If you can live without heat, you could take the 2 heaters hoses where they enter the firewall and splice them together. Very cheap and easy to do. But you lose heat inside your cabin though. I did this on a 1993 Chevy Blazer a long time ago. You can buy the splicing piece and a couple of clamps relatively cheaply, and it's easy to do.

But like I said, you will no longer have access to warm air inside the cabin.
