The symptom of my car I am not getting a reading on my rpm gauge the way I got this I was having problems with my battery I took it off took it to the AutoZone to get it charged brought it back put it on and it started with this problem I put the scanner on it and it gave me a read out of PO 430. The car year is a 2000 to make is a Nissan model is an Ultima SE 3.5 L engine. The miles on it is 213716 can you please help me

This says your catalytic converter is inefficient. It's a 23-year-old car, if vacuum hoses are still original, they need to be replaced. Start simple.
Switch to live data and see what's going on. When you switch to live data, there should be a digital RPM monitor that pops up on the screen. If it's on there and not on the gauge, your tachometer may have failed.
