It's from a dealership with 57,318 miles on it. There are two previous owners who have regularly serviced the car every 3k-5k miles, the last inspection on 9/22/2023. When I asked the dealer the last time it was driven they said it was last week. Everything looks clean, smoke coming out of the exhaust is totally white although I forgot to look at the engine before grabbing the carfax from them. They are asking $14,995 on CarGurus and at the dealership. It says fair price on the website and I'm thinking that if I take it to a mechanic for a pre purchase inspection and everything is fine then I'd want to buy it.
This is the only Accord V6 in my area, would I be paying too much or is it a reasonable price for the mileage, depending on what the inspection finds. How would I be able to negotiate this deal to possibly lower what they're asking?
The kbb.com site pegs the "fair dealer price" for that car at about $12,000, and that's inflated. You cannot rely on Carfax for information on problems such as accidents or flooding since not everything is reported to them.
