Thinking of turning my '98 4Runner into a Cross Country vehicle

Hello Scotty,

I have a 1998 Toyota 4Runner with the 3.4L V6 engine and I am thinking of turning it into a Road Trip vehicle as I plan to take different roadtrips in the nearby future. I have done the following work with it (In chronological order):

-(9/2021) Replaced shift solenoids with fresh transmission fluid and filters.
-(3/2022) Replaced U-joints all around.
-(5/2022) Unclogged catalytic converter.
-(8/2022) Replaced valve cover gaskets and brand new battery.
-(1/2023) Replaced brand new timing belt and components around it including pulleys, water pump, etc.
-Tires are due and planning to take care of it within this month and February.

I know it's an old car and use it as a toy/weekend car, and also do basic maintenance as well. I was wondering what other things I can do to keep it up and running. Thank you in advance.

Check brakes.

Check suspension components.

Replace Brake Fluid if necessary.

Replace Power Steering Fluid if necessary.

Change out the transfer case and both differential oils.  Load test the battery and alternator. Add  a cooling system flush, refill and air bleed the system as well as greasing every zerk fitting the vehicle has on it.

Water pump has been changed as well when I did the timing belt

I corrected that. Thanks

Not sure I'd want to be cross country trekking in a 25yo vehicle.

At least have a mechanic look at it to see the overall condition.
