Thoughts on buying a used Nissan Sentra

Hey Scotty, do you think a 2019 Nissan Sentra with a 6 speed manual be a reliable vehicle. I found some with as low as 10-20k miles. I heard the CVTs are junk but how are the manual reliability? I consider a Corolla/Civic but out of my price range. The price of the 2019 Sentra is around 60% of its MSRP cost. I assume it hasn't lost 40% of its life during only 10-20k miles of use. I will have a mechanic check it out. Also there are more than one of listings like this. I watches Scotty's video on the Sentra and saw that the Naturally Aspirated engines were reliable and that the main culprit was the CVT automatic.

The CVT is the weakest link so at least you have that going for you. The manual transmission itself is fairly reliable but in regards to the overall car they really aren't that well made. If it were me I would keep looking. If you can't afford a Civic or a Corolla try an Impreza or a Mazda 3.

You are way better off with the manual as yes, the CVT is definitely the weak spot for those cars.

If you can get it for the right price and it checks out mechanically, it could be an alright little car.
