Hi Scotty, I have to do a timing belt on my 95 Ford contour here soon and i was wondering how do I mark where it’s top center so I don’t go through the struggle of having to line up the timing when putting the new one on?

Honestly cannot tell if you done the job before or not. I'm no expert but don't your camshaft gears or something have timing marks on em that you can line up before the installation of the new belt? And proper tools and all that? And top dead center on the first piston is what you mean right? You can always stick a long stick down then spark plug hole #1 and when it hits top before it goes down would be Ehh close enough to TDC...
