Is there a safe and viable "stop leak additive" for leak in gasket in Timing Chain cover? Leak is just a few drops per day and has been happening for20 months 20,000 miles. Have changed the oil twice but never had to add oil between oil changes.
Dealer has to pull engine and wants $3200 to replace gaskets and reseal timing chain cover. Car has 192,000 miles.
I rent a car for long distance trips.

No league sealer will fix a timing cover leak the seal is only work on oil seals which are round and have shaft spinning and that can stop leaks because it's a seal that has a spring that holds it in place. But I was cheap so really you could just live with it
