Thinking of buying a used 2014 Toyota Avalon with 93,000miles.

I don't want to buy a car with many headaches that come with it.

Find an honest mechanic.

But seriously, ask around..

Make sure whoever you select has a fancy scan tool like the ones Scotty uses that can read all the stored and live data from the car. A simple OBD2 scanner is not good enough.

Do an search for "car inspection (insert your nearest big city) reviews" for your area and choose from the list based on good and bad reviews, amount of reviews, and amount of stars.  For me I'd probably pick one with a lot of reviews and at least 4 stars instead of one with 5 stars and only a handful of reviews.
