Tire Rotation

Hi Scotty,

I have a 2023 Toyota Tacoma Off Road 4x4 Crew Cab with Long Bed.

Does rotating my tires really make a difference in a 4wd? I owned Subaru Legacy’s my whole life and never rotated my tires without issue.

since this is a 4wd and not awd, should I rotate them and how often?

Rotating the tires equalizes wear since front and rear are subject to different stresses. It's not necessary but you may not get the full tread life out of your tires if not rotated periodically.

Tires wear differently not because of 2WD or 4WD systems, but because the front wheels steer, and differences in suspension and weight distribution.

If you want to maximize tire life and safety, yes. It's printed in your owner's manual.
