To warm up or not

Scotty,

I have a 2020 Mazda6 with a 2.5 turbo (I don’t drive it hard and I change the oil every 5,000 miles) When I start it I get the blue coolant light until it warms up and then it will turn off. Is it best to wait for the light to turn off before driving or is it okay to start driving with it still blue?

This gets asked all the time. Modern cars have fuel injection or GDI that's all controlled by computers. Really, you should only let it idle for 30 seconds to a minute, then start driving. Be easy on the throttle until it reaches operating temperature (between the High and the Low coolant temperatures is the operating temperature).
