Hey Scotty, I have a 2017 GMC Sierra z71 and thanks to our new Idiot president we have gas prices are tearing me up. I have never owned a Toyota but trust your opinion on them. I drive 90 miles a day to work and want something to get good gas mileage and is very reliable and I’m thinking of trading for a new Toyota fav 4. Is this a good move?

I will assume you mean Rav4. Yes, it'll be more fuel efficient, and more reliable than your Sierra.
Is this a good move?
If all you're doing is commuting to work, then yes.
1. You bought your truck knowing gas prices fluctuate for various reasons (Storms, a hot day in the Middle East, literally any number of things). Own your decision and don't deflect blame on others.
2. A RAV-4 is a good idea IF it fits your needs. There is more to a vehicle than MPG, and only you know if it will do what you need it to.
The problem is they only seem to "fluctuate" in one direction.
Trust me. I wish they fluctuate down, but I don't see it happening. Just about everything is seeing an increase right now. I do understand people's frustrations with it too....I'm dealing with the same issues, after all. Hopefully we will see some stability soon.
Moving away from a GM product is a wise decision. Just realize the longevity/durability of the RAV4’s powertrain (2.5L I4 and 8-speed automatic transmission) has not been proven yet since they have been around since 2018 or 2019 model year. That being said, it will get better fuel economy and should have fewer issues over time compared to your GM truck.
In this market, you should be able to get top dollar for your truck.
Not to derail your thread but can you very briefly explain how higher gas prices are Bidens fault? Im trying to understand because everything Im reading online says otherwise
I would like to hear an explanation as well
average price at the pump when Biden took office: $2.40 per gallon,
average price in November: $3.40 per gallon
Inflation is up too, and more carbon taxes are coming.
What's so hard to understand rr8791? Biden's shutting down the Keystone pipeline and his war on the American energy industry has change us from an energy exporting nation to a nation begging for energy. Turn off CNN.
