I have a slight oil leak coming from timing chain cover. Would some type of commercial gasket seal help this issue. It's an expensive fix.

No, it has to have the gasket replaced and properly sealed. Before doing this, make sure it's not the front, main seal that's leaking. It is a lot easier and less expensive to replace than the timing chain cover.
