Toyota all-wheel-drive flat tire

With standardall-wheel-drive I know you have to change all four tires if you have a flat tire.

but with Toyota, there is no driveshaft connecting to the transmission just electric motor in the rear. Do you still need to change all four tires if you have a flat tire

Only if the tire is not repairable and needs to be replaced.

the connection doesn't really matter. Sensors know how fast the wheels are going and AWD reacts accordingly.
