2007 Camry code P2716 This is a car of an elderly friend of mine. She says she has never changes or flushed the transmission. 150,000 miles. Should I just change the transmission filter and fluid or should I change the solenoid also?

Your in a sticky situation there. I would not change that fluid with 150k. You could try changing the solenoid and the filter but reuse the old fluid that came out of the car. Just be sure that your catch pan is clean and nothing falls into the old fluid. Using all new fluid can possibly make that tranny slip and slide and create a bigger headache.
