Toyota CH-R K-120 CVT
Hey Scotty (or another savvy person)
I have a 2019 CH-R that I bought with almost 58K on it and it just hit 63K...
Since I have owned it I have done two drain and fills of the CVT fluid on it.
My question is, would you consider that excessive? I always hear about how CVT's are temperamental and my wife used to own a Nissan Versa that had a problematic one in it. I know that Toyota transmissions are much better but I don't hear a lot about the K120 Direct Shift series, I want to ensure they are taken care of as best as possible. I'm known for being very attentive to my vehicles.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Are you saying you’re changing your CVT fluid more frequently than you change your engine oil??
If yes, then yeah, that’s excessive.
Change it every 20,000 - 30,000 miles like Scotty recommends.
