Toyota CHR vs Rav 4 vs Corolla Hatchback

Looking for the most space for a reasonable price with decent gas mileage. I really want to avoid a Tacoma or a Sienna or one of the gas hog subs. Any tips?

Well the Corolla and CH-R are the same car, just a different body. The RAV4 is on a different platform and is equally reliable.

all of these are great cars but I’d avoid the hybrids and if possible the CVT

Which one has the most carrying capacity (not passengers but space for carrying including putting down back seats

CH-R is a very quirky car and if that's what you like, go ahead and buy one. Corolla and Rav4 are great but I do prefer having the Rav4's extra space and capabililty.

Do the CHR and the Rav4 have the same carrying capacity?

The chr probably will have the best combo of space and gas mileage.

Get the RAV4 if you look for a spacious car.

Toyota CH-R has cramped space of the 3.  So it’s between the RAV4 and the Corolla Hatchback:  how much space do you need?  The RAV4 will have more space.  Also, which years are you looking at?

Looking at 2021 and onward. Rav 4 are fairly expensive

Have you visited a dealership and test drove and examined them for yourself? The RAV4 being a CUV will be more popular and also more expensive than the Corolla hatch. The Corolla hatch is not a bad way to go, but it’s not for everyone.

Go for the rav4. They have annoyingly high resale value, though. The inteior quality is also better these days than it used to. Besides, everyone loves crossovers.

the CHR is probably your best bet. its a liftest corolla and bigger trunk space. the newer ones got a revised CVT with 1st gear so drives a bit better
