What would cause a 2001 Toyota Corolla start to shake only when your stopped at a light or through a drive thru and stop signs? When put in parked it doesn't shake. It's got about 118 thousand miles on it and it has a code of p0171 mass airflow sensor. Otherwise it drives fine only when stopped please help thank you.
That means your running too lean and few different things could be causing it but the easy one is to check for vacuum leaks. Here's a list of potential problems https://www.engine-codes.com/p0171.html and here's a breakdown of someone troubleshooting one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpstVT3goxM
any dirt on the intake system, like the code is telling you, can cause the vibration. I'd look up a tutorial on cleaning it, Scotty has one on YT.
Also at that age, Rubber Belts can wear / become brittle from heat / cool, so check that too.
I've had this same worry in my older cars, but sometimes if there's no code, new belts, sometimes its just bad Gas, so can check that too, get to E and refill at a different GS
Check trans fluid, color and amount too. Miles?
