Toyota Corolla Le Slightly higher rpms

Hey everyone, so I own a Toyota Corolla LE, 192463 miles, 2 codes c1406, and  b1422.  The problem im having is that my rpms are running on the average 500 more than usual during idol, and while climbing a hill the rpms are at 3 to 3.5 and stay elevated like that until the road flattens out im not talking huge hills either.  Also since this issue with the elevated rpms has started I've also had the car jerk forward on 4 separate occasions, all while coming from a stop to a start and the other day while sitting at a stop sign.  I've tested the Mass Airflow Sensor and its in spec, while idling and at thruway speed, also cleaned MAF sensor and throttle plate.  Spark plugs look good and are all operating at same speed.  I've taken the car to continental transmission and they told me transmission was in good shape.  The only other thing I think I've noticed is that let's say I go from my home to the store and then to let's say another store and do it all in pretty fast order by the time I get to my car and turn it on the final time to go home it does take a bit longer than normal to turn the car over.  Any help would be great, thanks again

Check for vacuum leaks. Scotty has videos about how to do it.

@imperator 2014 is the year

1.8L, 2.4L ?

@imperator 1.8L, no hissing sound coming from engine block so I dont think its vacum leaks, CVT transmission

listening for hissing sounds is not a reliable detection method. That's why mechanics use a smoke machine.

@imperator thank you for that, if im driving at highway speeds on a flat road the car runs at normal rpms do you still think that there could be a evap leak?

I didn't say evap leak. And yes, vacuum leaks are most noticeable at idle.

@imperator your right I meant to type vacuum leak, ok I guess ill start there and report my progress

B1422 Compressor Lock Sensor Circuit

The computer might be trying to raise engine RPM to run the AC compressor.  Maybe a seized AC clutch? Might explain the hard starts too.

You'll have to get an AC shop to diagnose it, but it won't be cheap. You could try removing the AC belt.
