Toyota Landcruiser hesitation

Hi,

I have Toyota Landcruiser 2018 4.6L V8 automatic 5 speed with 100k miles. I have an issue with engine hesitation. It looks like engine misfiring and specially apparent when accelerating slowly on the top gear.

I got it inspected I was advised to clean the injectors. I got them cleaned and the car ran smoothly. 3 months later the problem reappeared. This time I got the Injectors cleaned again, changed the spark plugs and replaced the fuel filter. Another 3 months, the problem appeared again. All injectors became black and fully covered in thick layer of carbon. I replaced the injectors with new ones and now after 3 months the hesitation is back.

It is apparent that I have a fuel mixture issue. Based on what I see the car goes rich. Hence, the injectors become dirty and covered in carbon in just 3 months and this is not happening in one cylinder or I would suspect a bad ignition coil.

Please help as now I consulted a few mechanics and nobody is certain of the cause. Is it a bad coil, MAF sensor or the throttle body. The car has no error codes.

Did you clean the MAF sensor?

Change the engine air filter.

Check out the O2 sensor reading data and STFT and LTFT.

Also, did you use OEM fuel injectors?

Nice car.

Seems something central as all your injector are going black

U have cleaned the maf sensor , you have cleaned the air filter

Could it be something in the fuel tank.?

Maybe after this 02 sensor .. but I would expect a code to thrown back

  1. The MAF sensor was cleaned and live voltage was checked using a computer I have.
  2. Air filter is clean and changed regularly.
  3. All parts installed were oem I.e. the spark plugs, injectors and the fuel filter.

I will check the reading of the O2 sensor, STFT and LTFT

I forgot to mention that earlier I had a couple of instances when the car went to limp mode and when checked with the mechanic he mentioned that it was the throttle body and he reset it via disconneting the battery.
