toyota RAV 4 2009 TO 2012 2AR-FE ENGINE I4

HI Scotty. I have been starting to look for a 2009 to 2012 toyota  rav4 to buy as a daily driver. I was wondering if the 2ar-fe 2.5 4 cyl is a reliable engine ? I have heard online that these engines can consume a large amount of oil after 100-150 k miles from Peter the car care nut on YouTube and others. I don't want to spend 10 k or more on a used rav 4 that burns a lot of oiled ruins the cylinder walls. Is it a very risky investment to buy this model in this year range ? What do you think?

Well most of those are oil burners. Easy to find out. Just pull out the spark plugs. If it's burning oil that will be burnt carbon on the spark plug tips. Personally, I would just stay away from them though because you never know and there's plenty of other cars out there that are fine
