Just keep adding oil as it consumes it. That model year of the RAV4 was known to have an oil consumption problem. As long as you keep the oil level topped up, you should be fine.

now i am using 10w-40 engine oil for my toyota rav4 2007, 2.4l,petrol.Local toyota dealer advise me to use 15w-40 as my car has high milage(175k).so if i use 15w-40 it will be problem for my car? i am in sydney, australia.Temperature around 15 degree celcious.please kindly advise me
Stick to what recommended in your car user's manual.
Yeah stick to what’s written in the owner’s manual or oil cap. And keep adding as & when necessary.

Shouldn't it be 5W20? What was written on the oil cap?
2.i saw in sparkling plug holder a bit engine oil leaking.
If you saw oil in the spark plug tubes, you need to change the valve cover gasket and spark plug seals.

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do unless you go for rebuilding the engine.
