The new Rush and 2NR-VE engine is a brand new product, originating from Daihatsu & its longevity/flaws are still relatively unknown.

They are extremely popular in SE Asia, where it competes with the Mitsubishi Expander & Toyota Avanza.
What are your other options?
Unfortunately they don't sell them in the United States so I can't comment you have to ask somebody in the rest of the world where they sell them
