Hi, I've got a toyota solara 2006 se 4 cylinder, 125k miles, the trunk doesn't open when I use the key fob it just beeps, a mechanic said the latch is bad and they'll need to get one from the toyota dealership for 399, can I get one from a used car, probably from a junkyard? Will it work or I'll need one only from the dealership. Please advice.

The latch from a junkyard should work just fine.
