Hi, my Toyota solara key fob won't open trunk, makes a crack sound when i press and hold, but won't pop open.

Well I see a few possibilities. One is electrical:
- maybe your battery is getting weak. Have it load tested
- poor connection. try swapping the fuse. Inspect the connectors on the latch solenoid. Make sure it has good grounding
or mechanical:
- latch is getting worn out
- latch is seized up from dirt and lack of lubrication
to get the trunk open, try pushing down on it as you unlock.
See if there's an override (consult owner's manual)
You may need to visit dealer service. They may know some tricks for getting it open.
