I bought a used 2016 mustang GT premium auto with 40k miles back in October 2020 for 28k it’s branded a lemon but Ford put a new long block in it before I bought it. I’ve drove it 17k miles since and dealerships are offering me 29k now, would it be worth it to trade it in for a different gen 2 coyote not branded a lemon with less miles for a bit more
I'd say no, personally. The new GTs have the 10-speed automatic transmission that was designed by GM and Ford. They're known to have issues. I've heard the new Coyotes have problems as well. Opting for a standard doesn't help on transmissions, they have poor quality China sourced standard transmissions. I'd keep what you have or trade for a 15-17 V6, as blasphemous as that sounds. The 3.7L Cyclone was a well made engine and does north of 300 horses with decent fuel economy and no GDI/ turbos. Mods can get it up to 350 or so. They pre-date the 10 speed and don't have the crappy Chinese standard if you want that. My '17 V6 is tuned and modded. It's plenty quick enough.
Stick with the devil you know.
