Scotty ... I'm getting a lot of conflicting advice regarding the trans fluid on my 2010 Toyota Camry. It has 180,000 miles, 6 speed automatiic, 2.5 litre engine, one owner (me), never driven hard, and never towed anything ... but the trans fluid has never been touched. I'm being told everything from leave it alone, to drain and fill only, to no you have to flush because you want to replace the filter. Initially I was in the don't do anything camp since the car was new and that was the advice I got then, but after watching some of your videos I'm sure that wouldn't have been your advice then. I'm not certain what your advice would be now under the circumstances. Nonetheless I'm going to do what you say to do.
Thank you
Regards,
Vito
The filter is not replaced when a fluid flush is performed because the flush process doesn't involve removing the pan. Do not flush the transmission at all. Only do a drain and refill with OEM fluid.
Drain and fill. Never flush.
Always heard to do a drain and fill from Scotty and Faye Hadley from Girls Garage.
Never, never, never, flush.
Just do a drain and fill. Flushing can cause more problems.
Who ever told you don’t do anything advice is a terrible person🤦🏻♂️
