I have a 1998 Infiniti qx4 with 120k miles. My transmission just went out and I got a few quote from a few different transmission shops one was 2500 with a 12/12 warranty the other was 2200 with a 18/18 warranty and the last was 2200 with a 24/24 warranty. Is this vehicle worth fixing. And if I rebuild will I more than likely be having to buy a new to me vehicle again due to the poor quality of rebuilds. Also where can I find a factory transmission for my vehicle ?

Me I would just have a junkyard transmission installed as a Gamble and sell the car nobody really has reliable rebuilt on those things and I've seen guys pay money get them rebuilt and they never work right again
