Good morning, I recently bought a 05 Buick LaCrosse CXL for $4000. Started having an occasional weird shift. My mechanic says it showing 26 transmission codes but thinks it may be the computer. He recommends taking it to a dealership for a Tex 2 scan. Is it worth putting more money into it, what should I do?

NO, do not put money into it. You'll spend more than half of what it's worth to fix it. It might not be the TCM, it could be the transmission itself that is bad. Next thing you know, you will fall into a money pit.
Well realize you overpaid for a 15-year-old Buick let's see what they say if perhaps they can reprogram something or is it going to need a computer the computers on American cars aren't ultra expensive like and say Lexus so it might be worth getting that fixed now
