I own a 03’ Corolla with 167K miles, where would the TCM be located? I’d want to inspect it and clean it off.

Why? If it's working fine , I wouldn't go anywhere near it. This isn't a part that needs maintenance. The electronics are hermetically sealed into a metal enclosure and the connectors are weather sealed. Leave it alone.
