I'm thinking about replacing my 2013 Mercedes ML350 Diesel with a Toyota Highlander V6 (3rd Gen, 2013-2018) and I see that Toyota sold "Towing packages" that only contain the trailer/hitch receiver and wiring harness. I'll be pulling a 2500-3500lb boat/trailer on occasion. What are your thoughts on Automatic Transmission coolers and should I look into one given the Highlander max tow load is only 5000lbs.

monitor the transmission temps. If they mostly stay below about 210F then I wouldn't bother.
