I replaced the motor in my 97 f150xl 8th digit #2 4.2 liter I got it running but when I put it into gear the engine idles down but when I push on the gas the engine revs but goes nowhere I put it in neutral with both the engine on and off and it doesn't roll at all
any ideas are great
I don't have the money for a new trans so anything other than that I would be happy with

Well pray you didn't bolt the torque converter on a transmission and the flywheel correctly that can happen also make sure the fluid is the correct level and that the transmission filter is tightly pressed into its hole with a gasket that isn't leaking
